"Rampant criminality within the 'imperial' presidency..."

White House witch hunt of journalists spearheaded by CIA head John Brennan, says leaked email

by: J. D. Heyes

The web of corruption, lies and deceit surrounding this White House and the Obama Administration in general continues to expand, as even the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), perhaps the world's most powerful spy bureau, may have played a role in violating the Constitution.

According to Breitbart News, "An obscure November 2012 Wikileaks email dump points to former White House counterterrorism adviser and now-CIA chief John Brennan as the person behind the 'witch hunt' of journalists who reported unflattering Obama Administration leaks."

The site reported that, just more than a week after Obama's reelection Nov. 6, the whistleblower website Wikileaks dumped loads of global intelligence files from Stratfor, a private intelligence firm, in which one particular email - dated Sept. 21, 2010 - discussed the president's "Leak Investigations."

'Oh my'

A graphic of the email has been posted on the Breitbart site. It is from the email address of "burton@stratfor.com" to "secure@stratfor.com" and it reads:

Brennan is behind the witch hunts of investigative journalists learning information from inside the beltway sources.

Note - There is specific tasker (sic) from the WH to go after anyone printing materials negative to Obama agenda (oh my.) (sic) Even the FBI is shocked. The Wonder Boys must be in meltdown mode...

A search of the Stratfor website [www.stratfor.com] by NaturalNews found that "burton" is Fred Burton, the firm's vice president of intelligence. In a video following the release of the Stratfor emails by Wikileaks, Burton said:

...Stratfor sources are indicating that the U.S. intelligence community are looking at ways to further compartment information to prohibit this kind of disclosure in the future. In the pre-9/11 world there was not a steady flow of information primarily between the FBI and the CIA, but the other government agencies were also affected. As a result of that, one of the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission was a much broader dissemination of information so analysts saw more so they could reach accurate assessments.

As a result of Wikileaks, what you're seeing is a desire to restrict that flow of data, in essence, analysts will not have access to, perhaps, operational channel messages which contain very granular data on sources as well as the kind of terrorism information they need to do their job...

In short, the Wikileaks disclosure likely hurt global intelligence gathering. But apparently the Obama Administration is much more concerned with its image - so much so that the president would rather utilize the head of the CIA and who knows who else to dig dirt on and intimidate working journalists who were reporting facts and details about his administration and his agenda he found unpleasant.

Initially the Massachusetts chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union tweeted out a link that referenced the disclosed email discussing the president's "war on whistleblowers" on Nov. 15, 2012. Breitbart reported that the tweet only received two re-tweets after remaining online for about seven months. Burton would not comment on the Breitbart story.

Rampant criminality within the 'imperial' presidency

In recent weeks the Obama Administration has increasingly come under fire for a plethora of scandals, including the blatantly unconstitutional seizure by Attorney General Eric Holder's Justice Department of private phone records of 20 Associated Press reporters, and for monitoring private emails and phone conversations of Fox News reporter James Rosen, among others.

News of the improper targeting of Rosen began to unfold following the recent release of documents regarding a Justice Department investigation of Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, a former contractor for the State Department. Kim has been accused of violating the Espionage Act for allegedly leaking classified information and documents to Rosen.

The Washington Post says the DoJ has described Rosen as an "aider, and abettor, and/or co-conspirator," citing a legal filing in the case.

"The public filing shows the first defense letter was filed in the case seven days before the September 21 Stratfor email regarding Brennan's 'witch hunt' on investigative journalists was sent," Breitbart News reported.

The lesson here? Don't upset our imperial president; he'll shred the Constitution to go after you.
