Connecticut State Constitution: "SEC. 15. Every citizen has a right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state."

Three reasons why we own guns

The New Boston Tea Party

1. Self protection
2. Family Protection
3. Protection from tyranny
4. Protection from being hunted by the government

When citizens have their guns confiscated the government will do the following:

1. Enslave the citizens by force
2. Terrorize the people
3. Take private property without compensation
4. Kill those who protest against the government
5. Eliminate freedom of the press

We call your attention to Sec. 2 and Sec. 15 of the Connecticut Constitution. The words bear resemblance to the United States Constitution. Note Sec. 2, where the people have the right to alter the government in “such manner as they may think expedient.” Somewhere down the road, this may happen. And Sec. 15, promotes the inalienable right to own a gun for self protection. It cannot be interpreted any other way. These two sections are something to ponder especially in the heat of debate on taking away our 2nd Amendment right to own a gun.

SEC. 2. All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit; and they have at all times an undeniable and indefeasible right to alter their form of government in such manner as they may think expedient.

SEC. 15. Every citizen has a right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state.

While we are at it and it is worth mentioning, the modification of gun laws will not be as easy as 1, 2, 3. And here is why, many of those who belong to a union, either a state or federal or perhaps those work in the private sector, for example, the Teamsters, are gun enthusiasts. Although many vote Democrat because of their spending policies, many of their members are advocates for gun rights as well. Before any restrictions to the current gun laws can take place, the Democrats will think hard before they vote for a bill limiting ones right to own a gun.

The question that reduces the Why and What is answered by the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.

We hasten to add that the possibility of roaming mobs breaking out of their home turf and heading toward the burbs in a trash and burn scenario is real. It is important to remember that when the right to own a gun is confiscated, the guns will be in the hands of those who do not have that right. We cannot depend on the police for our survival, but we must be prepared to meet any threats to our safety first hand with our own “arms.”
